Benefits of Membership
GPA is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization

community, and before county and city governments. A strong pilots

activities that make your flying fun and safer.

Airport Advocacy
Airports are for airplanes—and for pilots. But
without organized input from pilots, the “powers that be may not
make the best decisions about Gillespie’s future—and yours. Through
GPA we speak with a united voice to airport management, the FAA, and
local government. Check out the
Advocacy link!
Pilot Education
GPA brings you safety tips and flying techniques
from your fellow pilots. Our monthly meetings feature speakers who
address topics important to you—and to those who fly with you.
Social Activities
What would aviation be without fly-ins, “hangar
flying, and other activities with local pilots?
Community Events
The future of Gillespie Field depends on our
relations with our neighbors. GPA sponsors events that help people
living nearby learn the value of aviation. We help make friends out
of potential foes.
Web Site
Our web site keeps you up-to-date on the
association’s activities and on events and trends at Gillespie. Find
out what the FBOs are doing, read minutes of the Gillespie Field
Development Council, enjoy profiles of our pilot membersand much
more.
E-mail Communiqués
and Newsletter
Our chief way to communicate with members quickly
(and cheaply) is through e-mail. That’s why we ask for your e-mail
address. We also send out a periodic newsletter by regular mail.
